
This project aimed to support SCP Members to develop a deeper collective understanding of the sustainability credentials of coconut shell-based activated carbon and charcoal briquettes, and to provide an evidence-based sustainability narrative to enable SCP to communicate these credentials to an external audience with a credible industry voice. The project included several tasks, namely:

Ivan is our branch manager of our Barcelona office. He started working in life cycle assessment in 1998 and got his Ph.D. in environmental science in 2006 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Ivan's areas of expertise include LCAs for ecodesign, solid waste management, water and wastewater treatment, agriculture and food production, including related tools like environmental risk assessment, life cycle costing and water footprinting. From 2009 to 2013 he worked in the UK for Unilever.
