Stefano is one of our most senior data scientists, responsible for database development. He is our expert in the construction and use of input-output tables and the lead developer of the EXIOBASE hybrid database, that serves as our main source of background data for assessments. Stefano holds a PhD in Economic Statistics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and works part-time as a researcher at the Centre for Environmental Sciences (CML) at Leiden University.
Mathieu is our LCA data specialist working on the development of our next generation LCA database, BONSAI. He manages data integration and harmonization and works on combining input/output data with LCA tables for a state of the art hybrid LCA database. Mathieu has previously worked as a hydrogen and solar sustainability expert at Fronius International GmbH, an Austrian-based photovoltaic inverter manufacturer. He holds a double degree of a Msc in Engineering Sciences from Ecole Centrale Marseille and a MSc in Industrial Ecology from Leiden University/TU Delft.
