We participate in the review of datasets submitted to the ecoinvent database, mainly in the areas of solid waste and recycling, and wastewater.
Since 2009, Ivan Muñoz has supported the ecoinvent database development through independent review of submitted datasets, mainly in the areas of solid waste and recycling, and wastewater. Ivan is part of the ecoinvent Editorial Board responsible for this review procedure, which ensures that all data incorporated into the ecoinvent database meets high-quality standards.
Ivan is our branch manager of our Barcelona office. He started working in life cycle assessment in 1998 and got his Ph.D. in environmental science in 2006 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Ivan's areas of expertise include LCAs for ecodesign, solid waste management, water and wastewater treatment, agriculture and food production, including related tools like environmental risk assessment, life cycle costing and water footprinting. From 2009 to 2013 he worked in the UK for Unilever.
