Our first commitment is to sustainable development, ensuring that a fulfilling environment can be sustained for present and future generations. Before embarking on any project, we assess whether it will genuinely benefit human well-being and the environment. We believe the life cycle approach is the only method capable of comprehensively capturing the environmental and social effects of a decision, enabling real improvements without creating new problems elsewhere. We develop increasingly precise tools for measuring progress towards sustainability and for assessing the impact of specific actions or products, tools built for specific applications but with broad general applicability.
